Dunlin (Calidris alpina) - This bird is our commonest small shorebird, often abundant in winter and large numbers of migrants pass through in spring and autumn.

Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta) - Only present in large number in the winter (900 in average). They depend mostly of the mudflats.

Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola) - Abundant during the winter, feeding exclusively from the mudflats.

Ringed plover (Charadrius hiaticula) - Important in winter and also abundant during the migrations.

Kentish plover (Charadrius alexandrinus) - Breeds in the salinas.Occurs in large number in the autumn migration.

Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) - Breeds in the salinas.
