Project – Current Bibliography of Portuguese Linguistics

Goals:

Creation of a current bibliography of Portuguese Linguistics, a process involving the gathering and bibliotechonomic processing of research work on the Portuguese language, published in our country from the year 2000 onwards.

Description of the project:

• Beginning of the project: September 2001

• Identification of the sources that would be analysed (journals, dissertations, proceedings or other sort of documents)

• Definition of identification categories for the bibliographic references

• Cataloguing and indexing work of approximately 1600 references (between October 2001 and January 2006)

• The references have been inserted in specific software (since February 2002)

Results/Products:

• Bibliographic database available on the Internet through CELGA's website.

• System of selective distribution of relevant information through the e-mail.
