Chó do Guri
Chó do Guri is the pen name of Maria de Fátima, born in Angola on January 24th, 1959. She has published: Vivências (poetry; 1996), Bairro Operário, a minha história (short stories; 1998), Morfeu (poetry; 2000), Chiquito da Camuxiba (novel), which was awarded the African Literature Prize in 2003, Instituto Marquês de Valle Flor (2006) and A Filha do Alemão (novel; 2007). Her poetry book Na Boca Àrida da Kianda (Editora Kilombelombe) is forthcoming. Her poems appeared in several Anthologies in Angola and Brazil. She is a columnist for the weekly Folha 8.
