Sweden

Eva Ström
was born in Sweden, in 1947. She worked as a doctor between 1974 and 1988, in the field of infectious diseases. Not only has she written poetry but also novels and drama. She was awarded the Nordic Council Poetry prize in 2003 for her poetry book The Rib Cities. Her themes are catastrophe and creation in the modern world, as well as the biological processes of life.
